With an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections next year, the BJP is enhancing its electoral strategies in the mountainous state.
Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is expected to enlarge his council of ministers subsequent to the by-election for the Bageshwar assembly seat scheduled for September 5. According to a statement by BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt to ANI, the Chief Minister held a distinct meeting with JP Nadda subsequent to a session of the state’s core committee on Sunday in Haridwar.

It is understood that these two leaders engaged in discussions centered around the cabinet’s expansion and the allocation of diverse responsibilities within the state. The prospect of introducing four additional ministers into the BJP government in the state is under consideration.
In anticipation of the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls next year, the BJP is heightening its groundwork in the hilly state. The Bageshwar bypoll has become necessary due to the unfortunate passing of Chandan Ram Das, who formerly held the position of Transport and Social Welfare minister in the Dhami administration.”
