In a deeply unfortunate incident, a soldier from Uttarakhand lost his life to electrocution in Samba district, Jammu, and Kashmir. The tragic event unfolded late at night on September 2 while the soldier, identified as 25-year-old Deepak Pandey from the engineering squadron, was involved in a project.
Regrettably, Deepak Pandey accidentally came into contact with a live wire, leading to a fatal electrocution. Immediate efforts were made to rush him to the military hospital; however, despite all the medical interventions, his life could not be saved.

This unfortunate loss has prompted the commencement of inquest proceedings by the police to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the soldier’s untimely demise. Following the completion of the necessary legal formalities, the soldier’s remains will be transported to his hometown for the final rites.
This heart-wrenching incident serves as a stark and poignant reminder of the tremendous risks and sacrifices that our brave soldiers face in the line of duty.
