Free Passes for Opening Ceremony : Recent reports reveal that an impressive gathering of more than 40,000 women in Ahmedabad is slated to receive complimentary passes for the grand opening ceremony and the inaugural match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The prestigious event will take place at the magnificent Narendra Modi Stadium. This thoughtful initiative has been orchestrated by government officials with the aim of uniting a multitude of women cricket enthusiasts to witness the magnificent commencement of the tournament.
As disclosed in a report by Divya Bhaskar, officials took the initiative to extend WhatsApp invitations to women residing across the city. In this outreach, a total of 800 women from each ward were cordially invited to participate in both the opening ceremony and the match, scheduled for Wednesday, October 4. This move was necessitated by the rapid sell-out of match tickets for several fixtures.

It is noteworthy that this offer has been exclusively tailored for women, as emphasized by officials. Interested individuals are required to secure their passes by forwarding their name, address, and mobile number via WhatsApp to the general secretary of their respective ward. Additionally, registrants are expected to independently make their way to the match venue.
In addition to the match passes, the attending women will be provided with two tokens for tea, one token for snacks, and another for food packets. Of significance is the fact that the opening ceremony is scheduled to commence at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, setting the stage for the thrilling clash between reigning champions England and the 2019 runners-up, New Zealand, which is scheduled for October 15.
