The ICC World Cup 2023, slated to kick off in India on October 5, is on track to become a sponsorship juggernaut, with estimates suggesting that sponsorship revenue could soar to an impressive $150 million, equivalent to over ₹1,248 crore, according to a report Publish by The Economic Times. Information from insiders has provided insights into these projections.
Six prominent brands, including MRF Tyres, Booking.com, IndusInd Bank, MasterCard, Aramco, and Emirates, have attained the prestigious status of global partners. These global partners are expected to make substantial contributions to the sponsorship pool, ranging from $8 million to $10 million each, as disclosed by ET.

In addition to these global partners, eight official partner brands have also joined the ranks. These brands include well-known names like Bira91, Polycab, Thums-Up, Upstox, Nissan, Nium, Oppo, and DP World, and their sponsorship commitments are valued between $6 million and $8 million each, as reported by ET.
Adding depth to the sponsorship landscape are the category partners, which encompass Royal Stag, Dream11, Jacob’s Creek, Near Foundation, Fan Craze, and Tyka. These brands are anticipated to contribute between $3 million and $4 million each to the sponsorship portfolio, as per the publication. Currently, the ICC has not issued any official statements regarding these developments.
In a significant and exciting development, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been appointed as the Global Ambassador for the upcoming Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Fondly known as the ‘Master Blaster’ and hailed as the ‘God of Cricket’ by ardent fans, Tendulkar participated in six ICC World Cups during his illustrious cricketing career.
