For her semifinal performance, Lavender delivered a spellbinding rendition of Foreigner’s timeless hit “I Want To Know What Love Is.” Her commanding performance earned her a standing ovation from both the live audience and the panel of judges. Touched by the performance, Heidi Klum embraced Lavender onstage as the credits rolled.
Viewers were given until 7 a.m. on Wednesday to cast their votes for their favorite contestants. The two participants with the highest vote counts would secure their places in the ultimate round.
Ultimately, Lavender and dog trainer Adrian Stoica emerged as the top two vote-getters.
At the River Styx Brewing Company in Fitchburg, which hosted a watch party for Lavender’s audition episode in July, a projection screen dominated one side of the bar. All chairs were positioned facing the screen, creating an atmosphere of lively anticipation and unwavering support.
Each appearance of Lavender on the screen was met with spontaneous cheers from the spirited crowd. As the episode neared its conclusion, an unforeseen glitch caused the bar’s connection to the broadcast to falter, prompting a collective sigh of disappointment.
However, in the final moments, a bartender managed to restore the live stream, sparking a burst of jubilation as Terry Crews announced Lavender’s advancement to the ultimate round of “America’s Got Talent.”
