The much-anticipated Super Four face-off at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium came to a halt due to heavy rainfall, necessitating the use of ground covers.
India took off with great vigor, thanks to an explosive opening partnership led by captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. The Indian team looked poised at 147 for the loss of 2 wickets when the rain disrupted proceedings.

However, in contrast to the previous game, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had wisely scheduled a reserve day for the Super Four encounter.
