Dengue Alert Dehradun : a prominent city in the state of Uttarakhand, is currently grappling with a concerning dengue fever outbreak, with the Raipur area emerging as a major hotspot for this disease.
The situation in the Raipur area has escalated to an alarming level, with a significant number of residents in nearly every household displaying symptoms related to dengue fever. Shockingly, the locality has reported over 500 confirmed cases of dengue, intensifying concerns about the gravity of the outbreak.

Regrettably, this outbreak has already claimed the lives of 13 individuals in Dehradun.
In response to this critical situation, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken resolute action by issuing stern directives to both the Health Department and Municipal Corporations.
These directives underscore the immediate necessity for comprehensive efforts to combat the dengue outbreak. The Chief Minister has urgently called upon officials to take effective measures in containing the spread of the virus.

Data released by the Health Department unveils a staggering total of 1,106 dengue cases across the state of Uttarakhand. Alarmingly, 58 percent of these cases, accounting for 640 individuals, are concentrated solely in Dehradun, making it the epicenter of the outbreak in the state.
Subsequent to Dehradun, other affected districts include Haridwar with 191 reported cases, Nainital with 99, and Udham Singh Nagar with 23 cases.
With the spotlight firmly fixed on Dehradun and Uttarakhand, the State government is under tremendous pressure to enforce stringent measures. These measures encompass intensified mosquito control efforts, the launch of public awareness campaigns, and the prompt provision of medical intervention to curb the propagation of dengue.
