Drug Free Devbhoomi 2025 : Dehradun Police has initiated a comprehensive operation against drug peddlers operating within the city as part of the ‘Drug-Free Devbhoomi 2025’ campaign, according to an official statement.
An official from Dehradun confirmed the commencement of a crackdown on drug peddlers within the city as a crucial component of the ‘Drug-Free Devbhoomi 2025’ campaign.

SSP Dehradun, Ajay Singh, Brief on the efforts, stating, “Dehradun police has undertaken actions against drug smugglers in various police stations in line with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s ‘Drug-Free Devbhoomi 2025’ campaign.”
The SSP went on to emphasize, “Instructions have been issued to all police station heads to compile detailed records of drug smugglers within their respective jurisdictions.”
Drug Free Devbhoomi 2025 : Under the ongoing crackdown, the police have already made significant arrests:
- In Rishikesh, one individual was apprehended with ten kilograms of ganja.
- In the Raipur police station Dehradun area, two drug smugglers were arrested in possession of one kilogram of hashish.
- In the Doiwala police station area, an individual was detained with 9.75 grams of smack.
- In Vikas Nagar, another accused was arrested with 155 grams of charas.
The operation aims to curtail the activities of drug peddlers in Dehradun and contribute to the broader goal of a drug-free Uttarakhand by 2025.
