Heidi Klum has emphatically denied the accusations of calorie counting that emerged in response to reports suggesting she follows a daily diet of merely 900 calories.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, the supermodel utilized a video to address the issue head-on: “I just got home, and some friends are sending me these articles that have been written that I only take in 900 calories.”

Prior to delving into the matter, Heidi Klum shared excerpts from the articles that propagated the idea of her adhering to a 900-calorie intake.
“First and foremost, let me make it clear that I’ve never had to track my calorie intake in my life, and it’s wise not to blindly trust everything you read,” Klum asserted.
Speaking candidly, the judge of America’s Got Talent further stated, “So, I don’t count my calories.”
As per The Daily Mail’s reports, in a previous Instagram Story on Sunday, Klum had stepped on a scale in response to a fan’s inquiry about her weight.

In her video on Tuesday, Klum also defended her choice to reveal her weight when asked. She explained, “Someone asked me how much I weigh, and I got on the scale and showed how much I weighed. I don’t know. People just put things together and just write a bunch of nonsense, and it’s truly unfortunate because real journalism is quite scarce these days.”
Expressing her dissatisfaction with those who “fabricate stories” about others, Klum remarked, “One individual writes it, and then everyone jumps on the bandwagon. It’s really disheartening because, you know, people read that, internalize it, and perhaps even follow it. That’s not healthy.”
The Daily Mail had alleged that Klum had divulged details of her 900-calorie diet during a Q&A session on Sunday, where she had also discussed her eating routine. According to the report, her expired Story revealed that she credited her physique to her breakfast of three poached eggs in warm chicken broth.
Heidi Klum fellow co-stars from AGT rallied behind her stance. Sofía Vergara, addressing Klum during a joint Entertainment Tonight interview on Wednesday, declared, “That’s not true because you come into my dressing room and eat my stuff, [like] my sandwiches and stuff.”
Terry Crews, the host of the show, concurred with Vergara’s assertion, and Klum brushed aside the false allegations as “utterly ridiculous.”
In a subsequent interview on Wednesday, Klum clarified that her aim was to debunk these claims in order to prevent her fans from adopting a 900-calorie diet. “I simply detest it when people propagate falsehoods like this because, you know, there are numerous people out there who follow or read this kind of information. They might think, ‘Oh, if she’s doing this, I should do it too, and only consume 900 calories,’” she articulated.

With a focus on the potential health implications for others, Klum emphasized, “When it pertains to other people’s health, I feel an obligation to intervene and say, ‘Hold on a moment.’” Her concern extends beyond herself to those who could be swayed into adopting unhealthy dietary practices.
This isn’t the first time the AGT judge has openly discussed her dietary habits. While she was a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2008, Klum revealed that she followed three small meals a day and abstained from eating beyond 8 pm.
Since then, she has eased her dietary restrictions. In a 2020 interview with Red Magazine, she disclosed that her dietary approach had become more flexible, despite her past struggles with food. “Initially, I adhered strictly, but now it’s become second nature,” she conveyed. “There are abundant choices; one simply needs to make the right ones. This eliminates the struggle.”
“I’m content with my identity and my approach. If I felt otherwise, I would make changes,” Heidi Klum affirmed, firmly expressing her confidence and satisfaction in her life’s journey.”
