Dehradun (Uttarakhand), September 7, [Year]: KSB Limited, a renowned manufacturer of water pumps, has successfully implemented their pump sets as part of the Vidhyak Nidhi Yojna initiative in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. Recently, Mrs. Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, MLA of Kotdwar, recognized the pressing issue of drinking water supply in her constituency.
She reached out to Uttarakhand Jal Santhan to address the community’s water supply challenges and discovered that the existing borewell pumps were plagued by frequent breakdowns, maintenance issues, and performance problems, significantly impacting public water supply.

With the aim of ensuring uninterrupted community water supply to the urban areas of Kotdwar and its surrounding regions, Mrs. Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, in collaboration with Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, decided to replace the inefficient pump sets with energy-efficient and high-performance pump sets from KSB. They utilized the Vidhyak Nidhi fund for the year 2022-23 to support this initiative. The KSB pump sets were sourced through KSB’s Authorized Dealer, Supra Electricals, located in Dehradun.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mrs. Ritu Khanduri Bhushan (MLA-Kotdwar), Mr. Ashish Chauhan (DM-Kotdwar), and Er. Abhishek Kumar (EE of Jal Sansthan). A traditional pooja ceremony was conducted to bless the new KSB efficient and energy-saving submersible pump sets, witnessed by the residents of Kotdwar.
