Maa Nanda Devi Fair Nainital : Satpal Maharaj, the Minister of Public Works, Tourism, and Panchayati Raj, has officially declared that the Nanda Devi Fair, held in Nainital, will be bestowed with the status of a state fair. He underscored the importance of taking effective measures to enhance the grandeur and significance of this cherished event.
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj graced the fair with his presence on Sunday, offering prayers at the Nayana Devi temple dedicated to Mother Nanda-Sunanda Devi. During his address at the event, he eloquently highlighted the exceptional significance of the Maa Nanda Devi Festival in Nainital.

From the main stage of the temple complex, he officially announced the elevation of the fair to the status of a state fair. Present alongside him on this momentous occasion were notable figures such as MLA Sarita Arya, District Panchayat President Bela Tolia, MP representative Gopal Rawat, Anand Bisht, Manoj Joshi, Dayakishan Pokharia, Jeevanti Bhatt, Shanti Mehra, Harish Rana, Naveen Joshi, among others.
Festival Represents Our Heritage and Tradition, Affirms Yashpal
Bhawali (Nainital): Leader of the Opposition, Yashpal Arya, conveyed that festivals embody the essence of our rich heritage and tradition. He emphasized that the Nanda Devi Festival has evolved into the emblematic event of Bhawali, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding our cultural heritage.
These festivals not only serve to promote our cultural legacy but also act as a conduit for passing down cultural knowledge to the younger generation. These sentiments were expressed by Yashpal Arya during his participation in the Maa Nanda-Sunanda Mahotsav held in Bhawali on Sunday.

He further stressed that the blessings of Mother Nanda Sunanda have always graced Devbhoomi. Besides their contributions to cultural preservation, such festivals also serve as a platform for the younger generation to gain profound insights into their heritage. Arya extended his heartfelt congratulations to the event organizers.
Leader of the Opposition, Arya, along with former MLA Sanjeev Arya, offered their devotions to Mother Nanda-Sunanda during the event. The cultural programs of the festival featured captivating performances by local artists, school children, and folk performers. The proceedings were effectively managed by Trade Board President Naresh Pandey and Tarun Joshi.
