Nainital: The exhilarating finals of the seventh Rohit Tandon Memorial Inter-School Table Tennis Competition were held on Sunday at the New Club. Sherwood College emerged as champions in the girls’ category, securing the prestigious championship trophy, while St. Joseph’s College triumphed in the boys’ category, claiming their well-deserved championship trophy. Vimal Chaudhary, the distinguished Vice President of the Indian Cycling Federation, had the privilege of presenting awards to the triumphant teams.
The girls’ doubles match featured an intense face-off between the Tanya-Anadya duo and Sherwood College’s Sahej-Paridhi team, with the latter emerging victoriously. In the boys’ doubles match, an exciting clash unfolded between Madhav-Shraddansh and Sherwood College’s Aveek-Parth, with Avik and Parth securing the victory. Adding to the excitement, the girls’ singles match witnessed a thrilling showdown between Sahej Gill and Ruhanika Gulati, ultimately resulting in Sahej Gill’s triumph.

In the junior boys’ category, an electrifying competition unfolded between Suyash and Kabir, both representing St. Joseph’s College, with Kabir emerging as the victor. In the boys’ category, Anjeesh and Ankush Singh faced each other, and Ankush secured a well-deserved victory.
The event was graced by the presence of several esteemed individuals, including Ravi Tandon, Rajat Tandon, Rajeev Lochan Sah, Alok Sah, Alok Chaudhary, Yogesh Sah, Ajay Elhans, Prof. GL Sah, Deepak Rawat, Virendra Sah, among others.
